Recently, MINI conducted an iPhone app driven/treasure hunt/virtual reality battle against your friends game that could win you an actual MINI. If I had been in Stockholm at the end of October…count me in!
The game was conducted using a location based app. First, you had to find the virtual MINI, “Take The MINI”, then keep the MINI away from your competitors and not let them take it from you. The event lasted one week. You have to watch the video!
MINI creates emotion-driven social experiences that leaves a lasting impression. Through social and location based connections; a game is played and relationships are nurtured. MINI has used mobile experiences to create a system of learning that stimulates social discussion AND offers tremendous insight. These ideas, with further development and refinement, will be what sets apart the true leaders from the tag-alongs.
