Just thinking about the future of mobile for our upcoming trends report…
It is important to look at how people are using mobile devices, yes devices not cell phones. I began using the term mobile device, in place of mobile phone, about two years ago. It wasn’t clear until the release of Apple’s iPad and the quick adoption of e-readers (Kindle) that I truly understood the significance of this phrase.
Apple iPad will transcend the conventional boundaries of connecting. Ease of use will further the adoption of technology as a learning tool and the ability to manage “LIFE” time.
When exploring trends on a global scale it is important to look at how people are adopting technology; how it improves life and how quickly the trend will have to evolve. Far more than numbers…you simply must add the human element.
